The Kremlin has assessed the possibility of opening international borders

Nobody is interested in freezing the situation with closed borders and lack of air communication between the countries, but the pandemic continues to spread, said the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov.
“In most cases, as far as I know, the Russian side would be ready with many countries to resume air service, direct communication, but some countries are not yet ready and believe that so far the level of coronavirus disease in Russia exceeds the permissible… norms. Some countries, in our view, are at risk,” he said during his communication with regional journalists.
“Nobody is interested in keeping this situation frozen. but the pandemic, unfortunately, continues to walk around the planet, the pandemic is not over,” Peskov added.
He noted that now, despite the economic consequences, the safety of Russian citizens is the main concern, and the situation with the coronavirus is worrying.
