Navigator Alexey Ostapenko, who died in the crash of An-26 aircraft in the Kharkiv region, corresponded with his little daughter a few minutes before the accident. His widow Elena Ostapenko told TSN about it.
“The child told me: “Mom, wait. Maybe, he answered something. And she takes out the phone and I see this correspondence,” she explained.
According to Ostapenko, she had a feeling as if the child had a feeling of something.
The woman added that her husband was very fond of work and “lived by airplanes.

“This is his profession, this is his calling. Because this is something else, like flying, he could not. He could not change the crane. My husband did not understand anything except planes,” Ostapenko admitted.
The military transport aircraft An-26 crashed on September 25 near the city of Chuguev in the Kharkiv region during a training flight. There were 27 people on board: seven crew members and 20 cadets, one cadet was not allowed to fly.
According to official data, 26 people were killed. One survived: he managed to jump out of the plane at the last moment and is in the hospital with moderate injuries.
