Thousands of Muslims gathered for a collective prayer against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in southern Bangladesh on the background of their first death from COVID-19 pneumonia. The video was published by AFP.

According to official data, 14 cases of infection with a new type of coronavirus have been recorded in the country, one of the patients has died, three have been cured. In most countries affected by the epidemic, any public events are prohibited.

In total, more than 218.8 thousand people were infected with the coronavirus in the world, more than 8.8 thousand died, and 84.1 thousand were cured. The outbreak began in late December 2019 in the Chinese city of Wuhan.
