At least 12 people were killed in a traffic accident in southern California, CNN reported, citing a local highway patrol officer Arturo Platero.
The incident occurred in Imperial County about 20 kilometers from the border with Mexico.
According to the traffic officer, the fatal accident was caused by the collision of several vehicles, including a truck on which the drilling rig was mounted.
