The United States authorities will provide Americans with a new type of coronavirus vaccine in early 2021, after which large-scale deliveries of American vaccines to other countries around the world will begin. This was announced by the current U.S. President Donald Trump in his New Year’s address to the nation.
The head of state’s address was published on his Twitter page.
“The vaccine will be available to every American at the beginning of this year, and after that, it will be distributed around the world,” Trump said.
Two emergency coronavirus vaccines are currently authorized in the United States, one developed by Pfizer and BioNTech and the other by Moderna.
The United States has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the world. Throughout the pandemic, more than 19 million Americans have been infected with the coronavirus, and more than 340,000 of them have died.
