A senior adviser and son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, helped to reach an agreement between Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and several other countries. This is reported by Reuters, citing a U.S. administration official.
The agreement will be signed on January 5, according to the report.
Under the agreement, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Egypt would lift the blockade on Qatar, which in turn would drop claims against these countries, said the White House. They added that Kushner helped reach the agreement, he will be present at the signing.
