U.S. President Donald Trump has spoken out about the situation with Alexei Navalny.
Trump said the U.S. side has so far no evidence that Navalny poisoned. “But I’ll study it,” he said.
At the same time, the president said that he has no reason not to believe in the conclusions of Germany. However, the U.S. does not have them at the moment, he added. Trump added that he would not object if the German side wanted to take action against Russia.
Alexei Navalny became ill on August 20 during a flight from Tomsk to Moscow. He was admitted to the hospital in Omsk and was transported to Germany on August 22. On September 2, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that the data of studies of military toxicologists do not cause doubts that the oppositionist was poisoned with the poison of the group “Novice”.
