Donald Trump, the 44th President of the United States, has called on Americans to boycott companies opposing the new electoral law in Georgia, Fox News reported.
“It’s finally time for Republicans and Conservatives to fight back – we have a lot more people than they do. Boycott MLB, Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, JPMorgan Chase, ViacomCBS, Citigroup, Cisco, UPS, and Merck. Don’t buy their products until they give in, ”Trump said.
Trump-listed companies have condemned the changes to Georgia’s electoral law that would tighten requirements for voter registration.
The new rules include the requirement to present an identity document with a photo, as well as a restriction on absentee voting.
US President Joe Biden compared the new Georgia law to the “Jim Crow laws.” These laws established racial segregation in the southern states.
Earlier, Trump devoted an Easter appeal to electoral fraud.
