Turkey is strengthening its military presence in Syria

The convoy includes about 15 military vehicles and trucks, they crossed the border with Syria at night through the Kafr Luzin crossing.

The new convoy of soldiers and military equipment headed from Turkey to northwest Syria, where Turkish units are stationed. The convoy included about 15 military vehicles and trucks, Ukrinform news agency reported Monday, citing the activists of the Syrian Center for Human Rights Monitoring SOHR. They crossed the border with Syria at night at the Kafr Luzin crossing.

According to the organization, the number of Turkish military personnel in Syria since the entry into force of the new ceasefire has increased to 6370, not counting a few hundred soldiers who just arrived.

From February 2 to date, SOHR activists have recorded the entry into Syria of more than 9705 trucks and military vehicles from Turkey, including tanks and other armored vehicles, personnel, military radars.

As previously reported, the U.S. has sent additional weapons to Syria to protect anti-government coalition troops in the country’s northeast region.
