U.S. authorities allow Trump to be indicted for storming the Capitol

Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Michael Sherwin has not ruled out holding U.S. President Donald Trump accountable in connection with the Capitol riots. This was reported by CNN.

“We are looking into all the actors and everyone who played a role [in the riots]. If there is evidence, charges will be filed,” Sherwin said when asked if the investigation is looking into Trump’s role in what happened.

On January 6, supporters of incumbent U.S. President Donald Trump stormed the U.S. Congress building, disrupting the session that was to approve the results of the past election. According to some reports, four people died as a result of the protests in Washington. In addition, CNN reported that at least 20 protesters were detained. Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser ordered a curfew.
