U.S. police officer shoots his son, mistaking him for a criminal

The man returned home but did not know that his son was there. As a result, a 20-year-old boy was injured in the forearm. His life is not in danger.
In the state of Texas in the U.S. police officer accidentally shot his son, confusing him with the criminal. This is reported by CNN on Tuesday, October 29.

The incident occurred on October 26 at the officer’s home in suburban Dallas. The officer will not be charged.

“It was an accident,” local police spokesman Pete Schulte said.

Schulte also clarified that the Texas police are treating the case “as much as any other case.”

He said the officer returned home in the evening and did not know his son was at home. As a result, the 20-year-old son of a policeman was wounded in the forearm area, his life is not in danger.

Earlier in Kyiv, a man accidentally shot his mother. In Troyeschina, a man fired a revolver into his mother’s stomach during an altercation, resulting in the woman’s death in the hospital shortly afterward.

It was also reported that in the Odessa region a teenager shot a friend. The boy accidentally shot an older acquaintance when he showed him his grandfather’s hunting rifle.
