Chérite Norman Shale, the representative of the U.S. Permanent Mission to the United Nations, raised the topic of what happened with Alexei Navalny at a meeting of the UN Security Council on the elimination of Syrian chemical weapons. TASS informs about it.

The U.S. diplomat said that the U.S. is deeply concerned about Germany’s conclusions about Navalny’s poisoning by the “Beginner” group. She called on Russia to be fully transparent and punish all those responsible for this incident. On September 2, the FRG government stated that the military toxicologists revealed traces of the substance in Navalny’s body from the group “Novichok” and called on the Russian government to respond to this information.

Navalny became ill on August 20 during a flight from Tomsk to Moscow. During the first two days, he was treated by doctors at the Omsk hospital, after which Navalny was transported to Germany.
