Ukrainians have moved to the European Union en masse

Ukrainians more often than citizens of other countries received the first residence permit in the European Union in 2018. This is reported by the Statistics Office of the EU. For the first time, more than three million people have received a residence permit in the alliance. Of these, 527,000 are Ukrainian citizens, most of whom filed documents territorially in Poland with the subsequent goal of working. Next in number are citizens of China (206,000) and India (197,000). Russians placed in tenth place, among its citizens such a document received 75,000 people.

On September 25, it was reported that since the beginning of the year Ukrainian citizens have filed 29.3 thousand applications for residence in Hungary for employment. That’s 60 percent of all applications filed.
