According to topnews, the US has not found the diplomats responsible for the Havana Syndrome, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said.
At a congressional hearing, Blinken was asked about the causes of symptoms in US diplomats abroad and whether the culprits were found.
“I have little to share in these conditions (unclassified congressional hearings – ed.), But the short answer is no,” Blinken said.
Earlier, u.s news reported about the “Havana syndrome” among US diplomats in Cuba in 2016 and 2017, as well as in China in 2018. It was assumed that the diplomats may have been exposed to an unidentified sound effect. A number of US diplomats have experienced long-term health effects. The US State Department has not reached any definite conclusion as to what exactly caused the syndrome. From time to time in the US press there were accusations against Russia of organizing “acoustic attacks”, the Russian Foreign Ministry called these accusations “complete absurdity and strange insinuations.”
