Washington has no plans to announce tougher sanctions against Moscow this week. This was stated by the press secretary of the White House Jen Psaki, who writes topnews
“Do you rule out that these Russian sanctions will be this week?” – asked the journalist.
“This week? Yes. I will not rule out [anything about] further, ”answered Psaki.
She clarified that on Friday, April 9, the White House plans to make statements regarding the country’s budget.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the US line towards Russia “stupid” and “dead-end”. According to him, continuing to bend this line years after the introduction of the first sanctions is pointless and does not bring any effect.
Later, the press secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov agreed with the words of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
