According to Bild, two criminals tried to enter the synagogue during the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, when there were 70-80 people in the building.

The attackers then opened fire at a Turkish diner selling kebabs.

Bild also reports that one of the criminals was involved in a car accident while trying to escape. It is noted that the shooter’s car collided with a truck on the federal highway B91 about 40 km from Halle. German police special forces arrived on the scene and weapons were found in the trunk of the car. The track is blocked.

Earlier it was also reported about the shooting in Landsberg, which is 15 km from Halle.
