President Donald Trump, who called Antifa a terrorist organization on Sunday, holds a private meeting on Monday with Attorney General William Barr, and then a teleconference with governors and law enforcement officials to ensure national security.

On Sunday, police, and firefighters extinguished fires around the White House until late at night and dispersed protesters who began looting stores in New York and southern California. In 23 states and Washington, the National Guard was brought in to restore order.

On Monday night, a man died in clashes in Louisville, Kentucky, where police and the National Guard opened fire in an attempt to disperse the crowd.

The riots began after an African-American George Floyd died on Monday in Minneapolis while being detained by the police.
