YouTube has created an analogue of TikTok, but it is not yet available to everyone

The video hosting site YouTube is preparing a new feature called Shorts. It is a platform for short videos shot in portrait orientation. GSMArena reports about it.
Shorts is reminiscent of the main popularizer of short videos application TikTok – the video is played in portrait mode and you have to swipe up to switch between videos. To get to the Shorts section, the recording must be shorter than one minute.
The feature is in beta testing but has already begun to spread among users of the video service in the U.S. However, Russian users are already encountering short clips – such content has been highlighted separately on YouTube in recent months and is gaining additional coverage.
