The leader of the Ukrainian party and the parliamentary faction of “Fatherland” Yulia Tymoshenko has become a dollar millionaire. This follows from the Declaration on the website of the National Agency for the prevention of corruption.
In the document, there is a record of the receipt of income 148,34 million hryvnias ($5.5 million) in compensation for losses incurred from political persecution. Tymoshenko said that she received this amount on 24 April 2020. The income is listed as “compensation of damages caused by political repression 2011-2014, received in the USA in pre-trial settlement”. Source of income provided the company Reid Collins Tsai LLP.
A year ago Tymoshenko in her Declaration stated that she owns real estate and cars. She lives in the exclusive village of Kozin near Kyiv.
